TidyFrame

Snap Mac windows and restore whole setups with one shortcut

TidyFrame

TidyFrame is a lightweight window manager for macOS. It snaps windows into neat positions with a keyboard shortcut and brings back your whole desk setup, every window in its place, with one shortcut.

If you spend your day dragging and resizing windows on a MacBook or an external monitor, TidyFrame does that work for you in a fraction of a second.

What TidyFrame does

Snap any window into place

- Move the active window to the left or right half of the screen

- Use thirds, quarters and sixths for side-by-side work

- Snap with a keyboard shortcut or from the menu bar

- Create your own custom positions and give each one its own shortcut

Save whole setups as Workspaces

Arrange your windows the way you like them, for example a code editor on the left, a browser on the right and a terminal below, then click Save as Workspace. Later, one shortcut puts every window back exactly where it belongs.

- Keep separate Workspaces for coding, writing, design, studying or video calls

- Switch between setups in a second

- No more rebuilding the same layout by hand every morning

Arrange neatly

When you save a Workspace, TidyFrame can tidy the selected windows so they fill the screen evenly:

- 2 windows become halves

- 3 windows become thirds

- 4 windows become quarters

Simple, friendly shortcuts

Many people have never set up a keyboard shortcut before, so TidyFrame makes it easy:

- The shortcut recorder shows which keys you are holding while you type

- It explains that you hold Control, Option or Command and press a key

- It suggests a free shortcut you can use with one click

- It tells you if a shortcut is already taken

Private and lightweight

- Lives quietly in your menu bar

- No account and no sign-up

- Works offline

- Collects no data

- Available in 34 languages

Why TidyFrame

Most window managers only snap one window at a time. TidyFrame does that too, but it also remembers your whole setup, so the layout you build once is ready again whenever you need it. It is small, fast and private, and it costs less than a coffee.
